WE DO LIVE IN THE BEST PART OF THE WORLD AND ARE BLESSED BY LIVING IN THIS GREAT COUNTRY IN SO MANY WAYS THAT WE SOMETIMES TAKE FOR GRANTED. I AM THANKFUL FOR MY GREAT FAMILY. WE HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH 4 DAUGHTERS, 1 SON, 4 SON-IN-LAWS AND A DAUGHTER-IN-LAW WHICH ADDED 14 GRANDKIDS AND 1 GREAT GRANDSON. WE HAVE THANKSGIVING AT OUR HOUSE.I AM UP EARLY IN THE MORNING TO GET THE 24-25 LB. TURKEY IN THE OVEN TO BE READY BY NOON. EVERYBODY HELPS BY BRINGING MAIN DISHES AND PIES. WE HAVE 7-8 PIES THAT ARE JUDGED BY OUR 13 YEAR OLD GRANDSON. HE TRIES A PIECE OF EACH AND SELECTS HIS FAVORITE ACCORDING TO FLAVOR DOWN TO HOW GOOD THE CRUST IS. WE ALL PRIDE OURSELVES ON OUR PIE CRUST SO WE WATCH AND WAIT WITH ANTICIPATION. ITS ALL IN FUN THOUGH. AFTER DINNER THE HUNTERS IN OUR FAMILY AFTER BEING OUT IN THE MORNING,COME IN AROUND NOON TIME FOR DINNER. AFTER DINNER THEY HEAD FOR THE COMFY CHAIRS AND COUCH TO WATCH THE FOOTBALL GAME BUT END UP SNORING AND BUZZING IN A COMFY SLUMBER. THE KIDS AND I SIT AROUND THE TABLE PLAYING A FAMILY TRADITION-BINGO. FOR PRIZES OF COURSE. A FAMILY TRADION SINCE I WAS A KID. INBETWEEN GAMES WE MAY GO BACK FOR ANOTHER SMALL PIECE OF PIE. WINTER UP NORTH AT CAMP
Its hard to believe that it is already the middle of February. Time has a way of disappearing like a blink of the eye! I guess the older you get the faster it goes. Since we are still in winter lets have some more snow! Our snow around Maine is going very fast. Since we do snowmobile some and have a camp further north in Maine where usually snowmobiling is great we are all praying for those white flakes. Vacation week is the time we go with our grandkids and their parents. We have such a great time. In the meantime I am making new things for my website lizziesraggs and thinking Spring creations. Hard to get in that mood but I`m trying. Hope to hear from you and share what your all doing to get through this season.
