The Warmth of Night
This was taken from my bedroom window late at night. I was going to bed when I saw a chance to capture a warm reminder of a good ole fashion snowstorm we just had in Maine. It just made me feel cozy and secure from the elements. I had already landed in bed and thought I would take the picture the next night but on second thought realized it probably would be too late for the snow on the sill would be gone. So I got up put on the lights went out and got a match came back in and lit the kerosene lantern. I just loved how it made me feel. My hubby was wondering what the heck was I doing. Taking a picture I said. Oh yea, of course, its only midnight , perfect time for picture taking. Have to do it when you see a chance for a picture statement, RIGHT?

Its hard to believe that it is already the middle of February. Time has a way of disappearing like a blink of the eye! I guess the older you get the faster it goes. Since we are still in winter lets have some more snow! Our snow around Maine is going very fast. Since we do snowmobile some and have a camp further north in Maine where usually snowmobiling is great we are all praying for those white flakes. Vacation week is the time we go with our grandkids and their parents. We have such a great time. In the meantime I am making new things for my website lizziesraggs and thinking Spring creations. Hard to get in that mood but I`m trying. Hope to hear from you and share what your all doing to get through this season.

That is a lovely picture. You wouldn't know if it was the present or 100 years ago :) I think I would have pulled up a chair and sat there with a cup of tea.
Great picture...you have to take'em when you see 'em or they are gone. Every try to take a pic of a sleeping cat or dog and they disappear when you go to get the camera! LOL Love the light of the lantern...so cozy. And I do miss snow! Crazy, I know! :-) Hugs, Joy
